The best thing I love about homeschooling is creating my own schedule. I get to pick the days, times and activities I want to do when I want to do them! Too bad the rest of life isn't like that...
Right now, I am filling in the gaps of my sons education. We went from an e-school, which he was behind because of his struggle with reading, to homeschooling starting next school year. So now I am figuring out what he knows and what he needs to work on.
To make learning more "fun" for him, I let him pick three days out of the week to work on phonics and math. He picked Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. I still want to do some learning on Mondays and Fridays, but I don't want him to think of it as learning. Right now he just plays videos games on those days, so not a lot of learning going on..lol
Like I mentioned before, the beauty of homeschooling is that we get to make the schedule. I want to hear what your schedules are, which days are for what, what activities do you plan and how to make those off days about learning, but the kiddos think it is fun, let me know in the comments!
My name is Robin. I am a homeschooling mom of three and I just love to find ways to make learning fun. I am so excited to share my ideas with you. I try to make my ideas as inexpensive as possible. Most of the items I use are things that are around most houses and if you have a printer and ink you are all set. Please feel free to use these ideas in your own learning adventure with your children.
