I bet that title got you a little interested in how crystals and homeschooling could be related. Well first let me say, I am not only a homeschooling mama, I am also a lover of crystals and gemstones. So today, as I was purchasing some of my beloved crystals, I thought, why not combine my love of crystals and homeschooling! I purchased one of these mystery geodes and I am so excited to get it and crack it open and I know my son is really going to enjoy seeing what is inside.
Crystals come from the earth and we teach our children about the earth in science class, so why not combined the two! I know there are so many lessons about rocks and crystals in science, but going beyond the science part is another fun way to incorporate crystal learning into your science lessons. I won't go into that on this post (side note: create a lesson about crystals and their energies.) but I highly recommend checking these geodes out and cracking some open with your kiddos!
If you do crack one of these open or have in the past, share your pictures with me on my Facebook page.
My name is Robin. I am a homeschooling mom of three and I just love to find ways to make learning fun. I am so excited to share my ideas with you. I try to make my ideas as inexpensive as possible. Most of the items I use are things that are around most houses and if you have a printer and ink you are all set. Please feel free to use these ideas in your own learning adventure with your children.
